Business situation
Alliance was given the opportunity to help design and build the entire Voice, Data, and Security Infrastructure for the client. This included the installation of an Alcatel-Lucent phone system, Alcatel-Lucent network switches and a JVC NVR surveillance system as well as all the supporting cabling needed to integrate the systems together.
Technical situation
This fast paced ever changing project presented many challenges including the client need for a fully functional phone system prior to the completion of construction. It was important for the client to advertise and book events in order to hit the ground running on opening day.
Solution
During the construction, Alliance hosted the phone system at our HQ location and created remote access for the client using VPN Tunnels created by our Systems Engineer. This also allowed Alliance to complete all configuration of the system in-house creating a seamless transition during the cutover.
Benefits
The use of the VPN Tunnels benefited the client in that they were able to remotely receive phone calls and book events at the facility prior to having completed the construction phase of the project. Furthermore, because the system was already configured prior to the “Go Live” date the cutover at the new facility was a smooth seamless transition with no down time.
